Aleeza Arcangel

A youth who enjoys helping people through HELP

Aleeza Arcangel, like a lot of youth, was wondering what to do with the rest of her life. A big question, indeed. A teacher suggested to Aleeza that she volunteer at the Canadian Red Cross, in the hopes that it might shed light on what she might like to do in the future. Almost eight months later, Aleeza is the recipient of the Youth Service Award for her service at the Prince George HELP depot.

Volunteering at the depot has proven to be a valuable experience for Aleeza. It's been great. I've learned a lot, like how to work with clients, says Aleeza.

Aleeza is planning on pursuing a career in Computer Science, and working at the depot has been a great way to get exposure to things she normally would not have had the opportunity to. According to Aleeza, one of the best things about volunteering is, “being able to help people when they need it, and being able to meet so many different kinds of people.

Aleeza is a great addition to the HELP team and we are sure she will succeed in whatever path she chooses!
